Barricube in detail

storage and space saving

storage and space saving

Up to seven barrels can be placed on top of each other. The space plan occupies an area of 0,65m2 and consequently possible to process 1575 liters of wine on this area.

Dismantable construction

Dismantable construction

The barrel itself can be dismantled and recycled. It is possible to replace spare parts with new ones.Barrels can be transported as disassembled and finally assembleed in winery.

Toasting (burnt oak wood with electricity)

Toasting (burnt oak wood with electricity)

The inner surface can be toasted according to the scale in basic 15 intensities. Beginning from Light 1– through Medium to Heavy 2++

Registration system

Registration system

The stainless steel plate in front of the barrel helps labeling to attach the QR-code sticker. This helps to access the page with particular cask with a detailed record of all production processes.

Bottom drainage

Bottom drainage

The bottom slopes towards the drain, therefore all liquid can flow away without any problems.

The lid vault

The lid vault

The lid bends towards the inlet so the liquid can rise to the highest point of the container.

Tied with six bolts

Tied with six bolts

The barrel holds a pile of 6 stainless-steel bolts with threads that force on the semi-bevel joints to seal them with each other.

Semi-bevel joints

Semi-bevel joints

Self-lockingsemi-bevel joints force out after the liquid has been soaked into the oak slats larch / oak lumber.

mmersion cap

mmersion cap

An immersion cap is inserted into the outlet nut to expel redundant air from the inlet.

Drain mounting

Drain mounting

All available valves and dampers with a wide range of reducers and couplings can be fitted to the threaded outlet (valve) flange.

Surface liquid drain

Surface liquid drain

The liquid on the barrel surface can drain away without any difficulty.

Pulp links

Pulp links

The lengthwise pulp links contact with liquid causes forming of radius rabbets, which sink into each other afterwards.

Upper leg /cap

Upper leg /cap

Ensured barrel stackability by bungs to settle them down into the holes in the lower part of each foot.

History

Our current barrel is the last one in a row of more or less successful attempts to create a square cask. TSince 2006, the development began, however, with some interruptions. The location for this development took place in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

We met the square barrel there for the first time. Upon our investor’s request we started working on the first test pieces. After a few initial unsuccessful attempts, we managed to get rid of all product bugs and difficulties. We built this perfectly sealing, user-friendly and technology error-free barrel. It was then followed by the securing patent protection at the European Patent Office to set up the production plant.
